Description
This particular scenic sunset with silhouetted mountains was captured this summer while visiting the bar, the sandbar that gave Bar Harbor its name. The sunset in the back ground made for a restive reprise for the kayaks in front. At high tide the kayaks are seen traveling the coastal waters surrounding Bar Harbor and Bar Island. At low tide, locals and tourists meander about the sandbar to pick seashells, colorful stones, starfish, and whatever other intriguing finds one chooses to collect. Bar Harbor, a small coastal village which is part of Mount Desert Island is situated but a few miles from Acadia National Park, a small, yet highly picturesque U.S. National Park and one of the most sought after tourist destinations in America.
