A most treasured vacation destination is Acadia National Park which contains Mount Desert Island,Frenchman Bay and the Porcupine islands off the coast of Maine. Echo Lake is part of Acadia National Park and is a scenic fresh warm body of water compared to the cold ocean surrounding the whole island. This capture was taken during our Fall vacation when I made a special trip up Mount Cadillac to gather a few mourning sunrises and evening sunsets; however, as you can see here mid-day provides for some picturesque photography also. Timing for greater solitude occur mid to late Fall when most of the traffic seems to slow to a trickle. Scenic skies and great outdoor adventures abound throughout the whole park complex and lure numerous visitors both nationally and internationally. Copyright 2015,Michael D. Breau. All rights Reserved
