Description
The Great White-Black and White is gorgeous capture of a majestic solitary great white birch tree with the trunk rising upward toward the sky. Maine is one of the New England states where they are common and while we have all heard the early familiar stories relating to the art of canoe making by the early American Indians, it has had a profound impact as a great source of hardwood for furniture making; and more recently, as the latest new flavor entry for the ever growing syrup industry. In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
