Description
These are a couple out of a dozen Belted Galloway cows I photographed going through Livermore, Maine. These specific ones, though probably friendly and curious have that real mean look, hence the title Wicked Mean Oreos. Oreo cows are prized for their marbled beef and there seemed to be a couple milking cows among them. Many folks, me included, would probably love to surmise as to what their milk tastes like. Their thick coats make them a hardy and suitable breed for hardy Maine winters. They are thought to be predominately Celtic in origin and more common in Scotland; Copyright, Michael D. Breau. Thank you for your visit John-So happy you and your wife enjoyed the amusing looks these Oreo Cows generated. Had to laugh myself as I was capturing them. Laughed so hard myself, I didn't pay enough attention to my camera settings; so they did come out a bit soft.
